• Terry Kennedy was the first black person to ever skateboard. the other black people called him "White boy" he made money and he got sponsored. 
•  When your on a half pipe you want to bend your knees while going down it to get more speed.
• Skateboarding began in California in the 1950's. 
• In 1966 people were concerned about kids not wearing helmets and padding and getting hurt. 
• The first trick when you get a skateboard, you need to learn how to do an ollie. 
• In 1970 a girl did the first air trick in a drained pool, a 180 turn back around.
